I’m stripping laptop batteries down for 18650 cells and charging them using tp4056 boards.
I’m currently discharging them to get a capacity reading using a turnigy Accucell 6.
The Accucell treats li-ions as 3.6v nominal and LiPo as 3.7v there doesn’t seem to be any way of changing this
Should I use the Li-ion setting regardless of whether I have 3.6v or 3.7v cells ? ( as determined by the database or the laptop pack info )
Or should I be using the lipo setting to do the discharge on a 3.7v cell to obtain a more accurate reading ?
What if I cannot determine if a cell is 3.6 or 3.7 ?
What should I treat it as for best performance / life?
Please help.
Thanks!
I didn’t find the right solution from the Internet.
