Cutting Thick Copper Cable

GHi,

I’m trying to cut 1/0 (53mm2) copper thhn cable. I bought some Capri Tools cable cutters rated for 2/0 copper cable and not only do they not cut the cable, the blade gets totally destroyed after a few cuts.

They sent me a replacement pair free and it did the same thing. I could probably cut the 1/0 with it if I pounded on the tool with a sledge hammer.

It’s a very simple question.

Does anyone have a good cable cutter they’d use for large gauge wire?

Can anyone recommend me some heavy duty cable cutters?
Please help.
